Joel’s 5 day guitar / music course

What you’ll learn:
Day 1: Finger picking patterns to fit any rhythm or feel
Day 2: Harmonics, how and where to use them and techniques such as artificial and slap harmonics
Day 3: Joel’s favourite unknown guitar chords that use open strings and can replace common chords to add flavour
Day 4: Percussive acoustic guitar to add rhythm and energy to your songs
Day 5: Putting it all together in a song written by Joel specifically for this course
Why:
These are techniques Joel uses everyday in his acoustic guitar playing and composition. Developing these skills will add energy and excitement to your guitar playing, and will make your songs and performances more engaging for your audience.
How it works:
Once you have paid the tuition fee you will be redirected to join a private Facebook group. At 2pm each day I will be going live in the group to teach the above techniques, engage with the students, answer questions, and teach examples. TABs (sheet music), practice tracks and other materials will be available via a link provided in the Facebook group. If you aren’t available at 2pm for the live stream, no problem! The video will remain in the Facebook group to be watched whenever you’d like and can be rewatched to your heart’s content.
What’s needed (not provided in the cost of tuition):
1. A guitar. This course is focused on acoustic guitar techniques, but everything except for the percussive guitar lesson can be applied to electric guitar.
2. Beginner to advanced level guitar skills. Every lesson will start with the simplest version of the technique and progress to advanced. The course is designed to give you skills that you can apply immediately but then develop for weeks, months or even years.
3. Access to the internet and Facebook. I will be live streaming every day from a private Facebook group at 2pm. TABs (sheet music), practice tracks and links to relevant material will be available for download or stream via my website (link to be provided).
